Nelson is a 3 year young boy who was abandoned in TX and SWESR was contacted by a good Sam to help him. He’s in a foster home in San Antonio and is good with other dogs.
Allie is a 12 year young big girl who must have had a very physical life before rescue and is now dealing with arthritis issues. But she doesn’t let that stop her from her love of hunting in the large and interesting fenced yard in her TX Hill Country foster home. She is housetrained and great with dogs and cats. Pearl is a 10.5 year youngster that was rescued from a hunting ranch in TX. This little pocket girl is heading to NV to join her new mom and SWESR Buck. Lucky girl.
Phillip was five years old when he came into rescue. He’d been a family dog, but his family wanted more from him than companionship. He’d failed hunting school twice, and his family determined he didn’t fit into their idea of what they wanted from a dog. Thankfully, they contacted SWESR so Phillip could find a home who would love him for who he is, and not for who they wanted him to be.

Joey is a 9 month old field ES that lived in a kennel before rescue. He’s in TX and in need of a foster that will be patient and train him. He’ll catch up, just give him a chance. He is fearful at first and needs tall, secure fencing.

Kaden is a 5 year young loving ES boy that was no longer wanted by a hunting lodge in Texas. A good Samaritan rescued him, took him home to her apartment, and contacted SWESR for help. He’s being adopted by his foster family near Dallas/Fort Worth.
In 2015, Alan and Cheri lost their beloved Irish Setter Riley. When they were emotionally ready to open themselves up to another dog, they decided to foster as they wanted to help a pup in need but weren’t sure they wanted to commit to adopting again. The Irish Setter organization had no dogs available, but after looking on-line, they discovered Southwest English Setter Rescue (SWESR).
