Phillip

Phillip was five years old when he came into rescue. He’d been a family dog, but his family wanted more from him than companionship. He’d failed hunting school twice, and his family determined he didn’t fit into their idea of what they wanted from a dog. Thankfully, they contacted SWESR so Phillip could find a home who would love him for who he is, and not for who they wanted him to be.

Benji

Benji is a senior (10?) field ES that came from a kennel situation. He’s in TX and this sweet boy is looking for a kind person to show him how good people can be to him.

Joey

Joey is a 9 month old field ES that lived in a kennel before rescue. He’s in TX and in need of a foster that will be patient and train him. He’ll catch up, just give him a chance. He is fearful at first and needs tall, secure fencing.

Augie – Just Rescued

Augie is a 4.5 year old Bench or Ryman ES. He’s sweet and will learn about house training and manners in a foster home near Austin TX. He’ll be available in early March. Interested adopters should be able to travel to TX to get him. Check back for updates!

Elle – Just Rescued

Elle is a busy 1 year old ES youngster that was found as a stray in OK, likely dumped. She’s headed to a foster home in KS with a previous adopter as soon as her vetting is completed. Check back for updates!

Kaden – Just Rescued

Kaden is a 5 year young loving ES boy that was no longer wanted by a hunting lodge in Texas. A good Samaritan rescued him, took him home to her apartment, and contacted SWESR for help. He’s in a foster home near Dallas/Fort Worth. If he’s good with the kids in the home and the 5 foot fencing, he’s likely found his furever home there. Check back for updates!

Phoenix – Under Medical Evaluation

Phoenix is a 3 year young Llewellen boy that found himself in a horrible situation in Texas. He’s safe now and we’ll post more later about what happened to this sweet boy before he made his way to SWESR. Phoenix is housetrained, good with people, dogs and cats. He’s about 10 lbs underweight and has a bad ear infection. An issue with his heart was discovered by our Vet and we are awaiting more test results. Bloodwork indicates a parasitic infection and we are hopeful it is treatable but for now his Doc has put neutering on hold so he won’t be available until mid March at the earliest. This regal boy has a trot like a Tennessee Walker. He’s Velcro and has some separation anxiety. He’d love another playful dog in the home and a person that works/stays at home. Check back for updates!
