Trigger is a one year old youngster who is in need of an adoptive or foster-to-adopt home with someone who can provide leadership and training, starting with the basics. His person should be experienced with ES or similar breeds and must have another active dog for Trigger to run and play with and to learn from. He needs his people to be present too; he is Setter sweet and wants to be with people and please them, he just needs guidance.
Trigger has lived with children but his “furever” home must be one where all doors and gates are kept securely closed to prevent any possibility of escapes as we know that field ES are prone to do. Because he is young, active and mostly untrained, he needs a home where he will be the priority. Trigger is an adult’s dog first and foremost. If he is outside, you should be outside with him and you should be home enough to give him lots of attention and affection.
Trigger needs a home with a secure fenced yard that is large and interesting enough for him to run and self-exercise with a doggy sibling. He was bored in his previous home and developed a habit of barking when he is outside so his person will need to be outside with him and redirect this behavior. He is young enough to learn good habits with time and patience. Trigger wants to please and you will be so rewarded if you are the experienced person he is waiting for. Trigger is currently in Houston, Texas and needs an adopter in the southwestern US or someone that will drive a long distance if not in the southwest.
