Woo Hoo! From life at a puppy mill to the safety of SWESR, Silky and her siblings are now ready for foster/foster-to-adopt homes for the next very important phase of their rescue journey. Silky is 11 months old and a very busy girl who will benefit from another active and doggy social pal in her new home to run with and teach her important life skills. She is very sweet, eager for human attention and very active as you would expect a young field English Setter to be. A home with a secure yard with a 6 foot tall physical fence is a must to provide a safe environment to run, explore and learn. She has not lived with cats and cannot be assumed safe with them. She has not lived with kids so only homes with 7+ year old children and very secure gates and doors please. She is learning to walk on leash and a patient and experienced person is needed to continue her progress. Silky and her siblings are near Austin/San Antonio and we can arrange volunteer transport to a person that is within a day of travel. We think a flight would be stressful but would consider a non-stop flight within the southwestern US to a home that is experienced with field ES and confident about providing this sweet girl what she needs to succeed. Silky is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines and tests. Are you the hero she is waiting for?
SWESR would like to thank Susan W, Mary B, and Susan K for their generous donations towards Silky’s medical care.
