Rosebud

Rosebud

Rosebud, or Rosie as she is affectionately called by her foster parents, is feeling great and is ready for her furever home. She was previously with a breeder but when she didn’t work out at that job she went to a caring home where she was mostly outside and that just wasn’t the right setup for her either so she made her way to our rescue. She does not show any signs of previous abuse.

Rosie has a large, Setter-interesting fenced yard at her foster home and that is what she’d like in her furever home too because she loves hunting and working the yard. She wasn’t eager to get in the pool but once in she proved to be a very graceful swimmer. Rosie is 7 years young and a busy girl. She typically clocks 20-30,000 steps a day on her Fi GPS collar.

Rosebud took about a week to acclimate with the female dogs in her foster home but there were no issues with the male resident dog so we think she’ll do better with non alpha male dogs. She is not a candidate for a home with cats or other small pets.

Rosie is a Velcro girl that follows her foster Mom everywhere so she could be an only dog as long as her Mom is home most of the time. She is fine with her Foster Dad but she definitely prefers women so a Mom in her new home is a must, and lots of lap time of course. Furniture privileges are a must for Rosie.

Rosie is up to date on vaccinations, is spayed and microchipped. She is in a foster home in S/Central Texas.
