Porter is a 9 year young bench boy who is used to having a home in the country or suburbs with a nice fenced yard and he loves to go for walks.
Porter previously lived with cats but we’ve not tested that so only inside cats and a home that can separate and closely monitor interactions with cats if there are felines in his new home. He has lived with other dogs but he does not always care for other dogs in his space so we think he will do best as an only dog. He can be trusted alone loose in the house when you are gone.
Porter needs a securely fenced yard with at least 5 foot no climb fencing to exercise and a comfy couch to relax and chill when inside. He is calmer thanks to his show dog DNA, but he should not be considered an elder dog. He is not used to being crated so a home that needs to crate for hours at a time would not be a good match.
Porter is very sweet, rarely barks and we expect him to be adaptable to different lifestyles, having lived on a farm with cattle. He would really appreciate a home where he gets daily walks and if you have a pool, he would enjoy a swim.
Porter is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and is in a foster home near Austin, TX.
