Nick

Nick

Nick is a 4 year old very handsome black and white Brittany/English Setter mix. Although he may look a lot like a Setter, he behaves a lot like a Brittany. He is very high energy and loves everyone he meets but can be a little timid with loud noises and sudden movements. He loves to climb on your lap and lick your face.

He is neutered and up to date on some of his shots, the rest will be updated on his vet visit.

The shelter said he has not been housetrained but, so far at his foster home has had no accidents, probably because he has learned from the resident mentor dog, Jake.

Nick does like attention but, it appears he has had little training, so will need a home where his new family will be committed to working with him patiently. He is really smart and seems to learn quickly. He plays well with his foster brother, Jake and they both love to get the zoomies around the yard.

His previous owner did use him for hunting and said he has a very high prey drive so, probably would not do well with cats or small critters. He also said that Nick would take off and not come right back, so will need work on recall before being let off leash. He does walk on leash but, typical Brittany, does pull so will need leash training.

Nick is worth all the effort that his new family will put into him, he is a very sweet boy that loves to be with his humans.

At this time, with all the travel restrictions and problems, we are still insisting on the new family travelling to Utah to pick him up from his foster home.

If you are interested in adopting Nick, please fill out the adoption application on the ABR website.
