Merry is a petite, 5-year old English Setter who is thriving in foster care enjoying the comforts of living indoors and being part of a family. Merry loves to sleep-in and be lazy in the mornings, but is very active in the afternoon. She likes to play with toys and chase her doggy friends in the yard. This little princess enjoys cuddling on the couch and sharing the bed with her human. She is going to be happiest with another playful, friendly dog in the home. Merry is respectful of cats. 

She is a flight risk (typical for her breed) and needs secure 6-foot fencing to keep her safe and secure. She has not been observed around children, but will likely do best with older children that understand the importance of not opening doors and gates and letting her escape.

Merry is also very soft and submissive and will do best with positive reinforcement training. She is currently still working on her leash manners and not jumping up on people when she feels insecure. Merry is a well-mannered car rider, and is already potty-trained and crate-trained.

Merry is sweet and affectionate. She will “roo-roo” at her human when she wants something. She is ready to be part of a loving, relaxed family that is looking to add a princess to their home. 

Merry is spayed,  up to date on vaccines and tests, microchipped, and on heartworm preventative. She is in a foster home near Austin, TX.
