Stella

Stella

Hey Stella!!! Look who is ready for her furever home! She is literally rooooo-ing for you to find her and bring her home!

If you are looking for an active, young (4 yrs), sweet, submissive, high prey drive, beautiful little pocket Setter (33lbs), then Stella might be just the one for you. Like many young ES, this girl is B-U-S-Y and needs a good sized, Setter-interesting, physically fenced yard with at least 6 foot no climb fencing to ensure she has a safe and secure place to self-exercise. Experienced field ES people will understand exactly what Stella needs and are sure to be delighted with this amazing little girl as long as you have an active lifestyle and the right property/containment for her.

After hunting for birds, bugs, and squirrels in the yard, all Stella wants is to cuddle with her people on the couch until bedtime. Her fosters say she is the sweetest, most cuddly Setter they have ever fostered. She loves to be on the furniture, right next to her people and dog friends, and will need furniture privileges in her forever home.

Stella started out as a hunting dog and lots of time and money was spent preparing her for this career. But alas, she is terrified of gunfire and didn’t understand the expectations that she should stay with you or come back to you. She is not eligible for a hunting home, but would likely enjoy other activities like agility, scent work, or lure training. The sky is the limit with what fun she can have with her her forever family!

Stella is excellent with other dogs of all sizes and breeds and would appreciate another active dog in her new home to run and play with. She loves toys and is an expert at extracting the squeaker from stuffy toys. Stella has great toy and play manners with the other playful Setter in her foster home. She loves to invite the other dogs to play with her and will often roo at them with the toy in her mouth. She is such a character!

Stella is too active/busy for a home with young children and with older children (9+ years), your home must be very secure from the opportunity to bolt out of a door or gate. She is crate trained and house trained.

Stella is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and tests, on heartworm preventative and wearing a Fi GPS collar.
